Home visits

-Postpartum Support

 

  • A home visit usually lasts 1.5 hours

 

  • We will discuss your birth & health history, infant feeding and diaper output, and any questions/concerns that you may have about infant feeding.

 

  • I will do a detailed assessment of your baby and observe a feeding and/or pumping.  Hands on assistance may be used in positioning and latching with your consent.

 

  • A scale may be used for infant weights before and after the feeding.

 

  • We will develop a plan, and you will receive a written copy of notes from the visit and a report for your pediatrician.
